When in Corelajo you must try the AVENEDA a canarian restaraunt family run nothing great to look at but service quality and Quantity excellent and very reasonable prices.
it is used by most locals(spanish but all staff speak excellent english)looks busy but go to bar order your drink and your table the longest we have waited even at a busy time is 20 minutes they are very efficient but you are not hurried stay at your table as long as you like,
be warned the dish sizes are big order sea bass you get three large sides 1&1/2 fish or four small but you can order smaller portions they even split a fish n chips between a pensioner coupleone time we were in.
it is totally family run down to mama overseeing and cooking in kitchen.
There lunch menues are very good the place fills steadily from 1pm opening with Spanish people on lunch so as you will see by the amount of locals eating there it is good(check the other main area restaraunts see how many locals you see eating there).

The Aveneda is between the Hypodino supermarket, Large refurbished wind mill outside and the Jive Bunny bar on ferry road down to harbour that passes British bakery.
